"Finding a beautiful place to stay on Mackinac Island is not hard to find. But finding a place to rest, relax, and enjoy the island with staff on hand to help you every inch of the way is the wonderful gift you receive if you stay at Mackinac House. Alyssa, Clover, and Mullaney each provided our large party with anything we needed. Meeting the needs of 14 people is never easy, but these ladies made it seamless for us to prepare for a wedding and enjoy the island. Island. Each of them understands what it means to provide hospitality, and they excel at it. Will absolutely stay here again and will recommend the Mackinaw House to anyone visiting the island. Kudos to the owners for hiring such able and caring women."

"We’re frequent fliers of The Mackinac House. We’ve stayed here 3 times now and only hope to stay here more in the future. Rooms are spacious, well decorated, and full of character. Bathrooms are always large with plenty of lighting options and plenty of towels. Rooms come with a smart TV, Keurig, and a mini fridge. Staff here is absolutely amazing! Alissa, Clover and crew truly make you feel like family. We love the breakfast in the morning (milk, juice, yogurt, bagels, fruit, muffins) as well as snacks in the afternoon. There’s a handful of tables and chairs in the commons area to play games, chat, or eat dinner. Highly recommend staying here!"

★★★★★ Sydney J.

"This is my new go to place to stay on the island. The staff was friendly, decor adorable, rooms clean and comfortable, loved the shower, and the window bench for breakfast was a perfect way to start each day. We spent a lot of time on the front porch for its beauty, peacefulness, and watching the horses pass by. I cannot say enough about this location. Such a simple walk a block up and all of the tourism chaos disappears. It's so calming, the front yard is perfect, yet everything remains accessible by foot. This is the place to stay for families, couples, friends... Anyone who wants a positive, relaxing visit."

★★★★★ Tiffani C.

"We had a wonderful stay at the Mackinac House. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautifully decorated and there are many extra well done details. We enjoyed time spent on our balcony, in the lobby and out on the front porch. All of the staff were very sweet with our 7 year old daughter as well and you can tell children are very welcome here. The snacks in the lobby were great with a wide variety and the continental breakfast was great too! We will definitely be back the next time we visit the island!"
